Lagos Business School (LBS), Pan-Atlantic University, has announced the promotion of Dr. Nkemdilim Iheanachor to the rank of Professor of Strategic Management and International Business. The appointment underscores his sustained contributions to research, teaching, and executive education. This recognition spans over the past 15 years.
LBS Dean, Professor Olayinka David-West, described the elevation as a recognition of “sustained excellence and leadership,” adding:
“Nkemdilim has met and exceeded these standards, enriching our intellectual community and amplifying LBS’s global impact.”
Research and Teaching Contributions
Professor Iheanachor’s scholarship focuses on strategy in emerging markets. He places particular emphasis on ecosystem emergence, digital financial services partnerships, and business model innovation for low-income populations. He is also recognised for his work on the strategic implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for financial services, telecommunications, and consumer markets.
At LBS, he has been the Academic Director of the Senior Management Programme, shaping executives through customised and open-enrolment programmes.

Professor Nkemdilim Iheanachor’s professional journey bridges financial services, consulting, and academia:
Academia: He joined Lagos Business School in 2010 as a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and International Business, serving for 15 years before his elevation to Professor in September 2025.
Entrepreneurship & Advisory: Since 2017, he has been Director of Accelon Professional Services, providing advisory support to businesses.
Corporate Finance: He worked as a Corporate Finance Associate at AfriCapital Investments Limited in 2010, focusing on financial modelling, valuations, and deal execution.
Consulting: At KPMG Nigeria (2009), he advised on corporate formation, business strategy, and commercial structuring.
Banking: He began his career as a Relationship Manager at Zenith Bank Plc between 2007 and 2008.
His educational track reflects deep commitment to scholarship:
PhD in Strategic Management – Pan-Atlantic University (2016–2020).
