Two people have been confirmed dead following a road traffic accident involving world-famous heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, in Ogun State on Monday.
The incident occurred around the Makun area of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, close to the Sagamu Interchange while the boxer was travelling toward Ibadan.
According to eyewitness accounts, the vehicle conveying Joshua reportedly rammed into a parked heavy-duty truck along the highway.

Emergency responders and passers-by quickly moved to the scene to rescue victims trapped in the wreckage.
Sources involved in the rescue operation disclosed that Anthony Joshua escaped with minor injuries and was immediately attended to by first responders.
Sadly, two occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness, Adeniyi Orojo, confirmed that the crash happened near a filling station in Makun, adding that traffic was briefly disrupted as rescue efforts and vehicle recovery were carried out.
The exact cause of the collision has not yet been determined, as authorities continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Efforts to obtain an official statement from Ogun State traffic officials were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
