Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Ms. Abimbola Ajibola-Jimoh as its new Company Secretary, effective November 1, 2025.
The announcement was made through a filing on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on October 23, 2025, signaling a new chapter in the company’s corporate governance leadership.
Ajibola-Jimoh succeeds Mrs. Abidemi Ademola, who will step down on October 31, 2025, after two years of service in the role.

The Board of Guinness Nigeria commended Ademola’s tenure, stating, “Mrs. Ademola served the company and the Board with professionalism, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting corporate transactions.”
The company’s Board expressed optimism about the transition, emphasizing confidence in Ajibola-Jimoh’s capacity to sustain compliance and governance excellence. “The Board welcomes her and wishes her all the very best in the role,” it said in the official statement.
A Seasoned Legal and Compliance Professional
Ajibola-Jimoh brings over a decade of expertise in corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance, data protection, and stakeholder management. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Economic Law from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Olabisi Onabanjo University.
Before joining Guinness Nigeria in 2024, she worked with MTN Nigeria Communications Plc, gaining critical experience in telecommunications law and governance. At Guinness, she has served as Senior Commercial Legal Manager and Data Protection Officer, providing legal advisory, company secretarial support, and compliance oversight across the organisation.
Her professional credentials include Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She is also a Chartered Secretary and Administrator with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and a graduate of the Harvard Negotiation Program under Harvard ManageMentor.
Ajibola-Jimoh’s appointment comes at a time when Guinness Nigeria’s stock performance is showing robust momentum on the NGX. The company’s shares have recorded sustained gains throughout 2025, reflecting investor confidence and stronger operational performance.
