The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the commencement of applications for admission into Federal Technical Colleges across the country,. This announcement emphasises its commitment to providing free, quality technical and vocational education to empower young people with practical skills for self-reliance and national development.

According to a statement from the Federal Ministry of Education, registration for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Federal Technical Colleges will open on Monday, January 26, 2026, and close on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The entrance examination is scheduled to be held nationwide on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

How to Apply

Prospective candidates must complete their applications through the official National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) online portal at https://student.nabteb.gov.ng.

A key requirement highlighted by the Ministry is the mandatory possession of a valid National Identification Number (NIN), which remains a prerequisite for successful registration.

Admission is open to candidates aged between 13 and 20 years. The government has reiterated that technical education in these Federal Technical Colleges is fully funded upon admission.
