Popular Nigerian entertainer Freedom Atsepoyi, better known as Mr Jollof, has publicly addressed a recent scuffle with social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) that unfolded aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba to Lagos.

“I deeply regret the events that transpired and want to sincerely apologize to the NCAA, United Nigeria Airlines, and everyone on that flight,” Mr Jollof stated. “I was simply acting in self-defense during the altercation. I’m truly sorry for any delays or discomfort this caused—it’s not who I am, and I assure you it won’t happen again.”
He also extended personal remorse to his family, noting, “To my wonderful wife, who stands by me proudly, and to my children—Daddy promises this is the last time. To my employer, I apologize; this doesn’t reflect my character.”
