Champion Breweries Reports 43% Revenue Growth, Declares 7 Kobo Per Share Dividend for 2025

After accounting for income tax, profit after tax stood at N1.79 billion, marking a 119% increase from N817 million in 2024.

Champion Breweries Plc has released its annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025. The company reported strong growth across key financial metrics.

The Nigerian brewer, known for Champion Lager Beer and Champ Malta, recorded revenue of N29.8 billion, a 43% increase from N20.9 billion in 2024. In addition, operating profit more than doubled to N4.83 billion, up 107% from the previous year. Profit before tax also rose by 108% to N2.65 billion.

After accounting for income tax, profit after tax stood at N1.79 billion, marking a 119% increase from N817 million in 2024. Furthermore, total comprehensive income for the year was N1.56 billion, up 81% year-on-year. This growth occurred despite a net other comprehensive loss of N232 million compared with a gain of N44 million in 2024.

Reflecting confidence in the company’s performance, the Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of 7 kobo per share for the 2025 financial year, up from 6 kobo in 2024. This recommendation will be presented for approval at the 2026 Annual General Meeting. Payment will be made to shareholders registered as of 8 May 2026.

The company recently completed the acquisition of the Bullet global brand portfolio from Sun Mark, securing all trademarks, formulations, and commercial rights through a Netherlands-based asset carveout structure. This marks a transformational shift in Champion’s evolution from a regional brewer into a diversified, pan-African beverage company.
