2025 CDCFIB Recruitment

The 2025 recruitment exercise of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has moved from the application and testing stages into physical verification, with shortlisted applicants now preparing for screening across the country. The process began mid-2025 with an online application on the official portal, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, which was briefly suspended over technical glitches before being reopened on July 21, 2025.

After applications closed, the board shortlisted about 1.9 million candidates across the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for a nationwide Computer-Based Test (CBT), conducted in November. The CBT phase proved highly competitive, with official figures showing that 221,996 applicants failed the exam.

The board has published a nationwide list of approved physical verification centres across all 36 states and the FCT, with venues hosted mostly at NIS and NCoS state commands, correctional training schools and similar paramilitary facilities.
