The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced plans for its newly redesigned website to go live on Monday 2nd December 2024.
The CBN announced that the newly redesigned website, www.cbn.gov.ng would be operational from the said date. The newly redesigned website is aimed at improving user experience across multiple devices.
The newly redesigned website is a product of user feedback which has been taken into consideration to upgrade the previous design.
Speaking on the redesign, Mrs. Hakama Sidi Ali, Acting Director of Corporate Communications expressed the Bank’s excitement about the innovation.
“We are pleased to announce that the front-end design and back-end technology were created in-house,” she said.
on the significance of public feedback “The Bank is grateful for the feedback provided by the public, which served as a valuable guide for our redesign endeavors. We are committed to developing and enhancing the website to facilitate communication,” Hakama said.
Key Features of The Redesigned Website
The redesigned website operates on a contemporary Web API built on Microsoft .NET Core 8, the latest stable release.
This upgrade is expected to improve user experience significantly by enabling faster and more seamless navigation as well as grant users a user friendly interface and compatibility with mobile and computer devices.
The new website also introduces a variety of new content aimed at providing a more comprehensive understanding of the Bank’s mandate.
