Cadbury Nigeria Plc announced the appointment of Mrs. Folake Ogundipe as Executive Director, effective October 27, 2025. The company, which operates as part of the Mondelez International family, disclosed the development through a notification to the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public.
Ogundipe arrives at Cadbury with over twenty years of expertise in driving business transformation and delivering shareholder value across multiple industries. Her career spans senior leadership roles in fast-moving consumer goods, energy services, and management consulting sectors.
Before joining Cadbury Nigeria, she served as Executive Director of Finance at Unilever Nigeria Plc, where she played a crucial role in corporate strategy development. Her previous positions include Chief Financial Officer at PES Group, an energy services company, and Financial Controller at Nigerdock Nigeria Ltd.
She has worked with prominent organizations including Subsea7 S.A UK, Phillips Consulting Ltd, and Investment Banking & Trust Company (IBTC) Limited. This diverse background provides her with a comprehensive perspective on value creation across different business environments.
Her track record includes leading complex change programs that strengthened operational resilience and improved financial results. She has consistently guided businesses to deliver year-on-year growth while embedding operational discipline and strategic agility.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Ogundipe holds impressive academic credentials, including a Master’s degree in Management from the University of Leicester. Her undergraduate education was completed at Obafemi Awolowo University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
On the professional front, she is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She also holds an Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), reinforcing her technical expertise in finance and management.
Board Composition Now Features Eight Directors
Following Ogundipe’s appointment, Cadbury Nigeria’s board now comprises eight members. Mr. Adedotun Sulaiman, MFR, continues to serve as Chairman, while Mrs. Oyeyimika Adeboye remains in her position as Managing Director.
The board includes three independent non-executive directors and three non-executive directors, alongside the two executive positions. Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, Mr. Sunil Parthasarathy, and Mr. Abhiroop Chuckarbutty serve as non-executive directors.
Mrs. Kofo Akinkugbe, OON, and Ms. Olubunmi Lawson occupy the independent non-executive director positions.
