Business Sweden is seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Associate / Consultant who is eager to be part of our talented team in Lagos as part of the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
Responsibilities
- Collecting, analysing, and presenting information and insights, which you will get from interactions with external stakeholders on the market.
- Supporting senior colleagues in sales dialogues, by insight-driven development of new business opportunities as well as prospecting.
- Preparing and organizing promotion events, round table discussions and B2B and B2G meetings for Swedish companies.
- Support in the collaboration with Team Sweden in the countries we operate in, to provide support and business promotion platforms for Swedish companies.
- Provide support in various business operations activities.
You will report to the Trade Commissioner and the position is based in Lagos, Nigeria, but you will be expected to work with the teams and clients globally, as required.

Requirements
- Academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.
- Recent university degree or 1-3 years of relevant working experience e.g. consulting, business development, internationalisation, government affairs or trade and development.
- You have excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- You have strong skills in business and strategy analysis, including market research, strategic planning.
- Local market experience from studies or work.
- A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English is a requirement. Additional languages are meriting.
- Experience from living/working in other parts of the world is a merit.
- Legally authorised to work in Nigeria.
Depending on the candidate’s experience, we consider the role to be at Associate or Consultant level.
