BUA Foods Plc Appoints Michael Ehimah as Acting Chief Financial Officer

BUA Foods plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Michael Ehimah as Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company, effective October 30, 2025 following the resignation of Mr. Abdulrasheed Olayiwola.

The appointment, according to the Board, aligns with the Company’s succession plan and strategic leadership development framework.

Ehimah, a seasoned finance professional with over two decades of experience spanning accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls, brings a strong track record of strategic financial management and operational efficiency.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Edo State University and a Master’s degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. His professional journey began in 1999 with Generations HealthCare Ltd, followed by a role as Senior Accounts Officer at Ernok Ventures Ltd, where he led the automation of the company’s accounting systems.

In 2004, he joined Regency Assets Management Ltd as Finance and Accounts Manager, spearheading digitalisation and strengthening internal control frameworks. Ehimah later moved to BUA International Limited in 2011 as Cost and Management Accountant at the Apapa Sugar Refinery. His dedication and expertise earned him successive promotions — to Senior Manager in 2019, Head of Financial Controls and Reporting in 2022, and Finance Director/General Manager, Strategic Finance, in June 2025.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Ehimah is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). With his appointment, BUA Group reaffirmed its commitment to continuity, strong governance, and sustained financial discipline within its operations.
