BUA Foods Plc has appointed Mr. Isyaku Abdulsamad “Khalifa” Rabiu as Chief Officer, Global Procurement and Strategic Operations, effective January 29, 2026.
Khalifa Rabiu brings extensive experience in procurement, supply chain optimisation, and strategic operations having previously led transformation initiatives at BUA Group, including strategic raw material sourcing, establishment of a 40 metric tonne per hour animal feed mill, reintroduction of BUA rice products, and rollout of digital platforms across BUA Foods.
BUA Foods MD/CEO Engr. Ayodele Abioye said the appointment reflects BUA Foods’ commitment to operational excellence, supply chain resilience, and disciplined growth, while Khalifa expressed readiness to drive agile, sustainable procurement systems and long-term value creation for customers and stakeholders.

About Isyaku Abdulsamad “Khalifa” Rabiu
Isyaku Abdulsamad Rabiu, popularly known as “Khalifa” Rabiu, is a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist from Kano State . He is the son of Abdul Samad Rabiu, founder and Chairman of BUA Group.
Khalifa Rabiu is widely known for his involvement in philanthropy, faith-based initiatives, and community development, particularly in education, healthcare support, and youth-focused programmes in Northern Nigeria. His public engagements often reflect an emphasis on social responsibility, economic inclusion, and the role of private capital in addressing development challenges.
In his new role, he will be tasked with leading the company’s global strategic operations.
