Beiersdorf is recruiting a Business Development Executive to lead sales and business expansion initiatives in Akure, Nigeria.

The role is full-time and offers the opportunity to manage day-to-day RTM (Route-to-Market) and GTM (Go-to-Market) activities, build distributor partnerships, and deliver on critical business KPIs.

The successful candidate will act as the city customer champion, driving market share growth while ensuring compliance with company policies and strategies.

About the Role

The Business Development Executive will implement the city investment strategy, develop the sales fundamentals of the 3rd party sales team, and ensure effective customer engagement at points of sale.

The role requires experience in FMCG sales, distributor management, and market expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage business growth and expansion in Akure/Oshogbo
  • Lead day-to-day RTM and GTM activities within the sales team
  • Partner with distributors to develop their sales teams and optimize in-market performance
  • Monitor and implement sales strategies to close performance gaps
  • Ensure customer and distributor relationships are maintained and strengthened
  • Oversee stock management, POS implementation, market promotions, payments, and data analysis
  • Report on market trends, competitor activity, and trade developments
  • Drive delivery of critical business KPIs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales and distribution
  • Proven track record in sales management, distributor partnerships, and market expansion
  • Strong understanding of RTM and GTM frameworks
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable strategies
  • Self-driven with strong leadership and team collaboration skills
