Viktor Gyökeres has won the 2025 Gerd Müller Trophy, awarded by France Football to the best striker in Europe for the season.
The Swedish forward, now newly signed by Arsenal had an outstanding season at Sporting Lisbon and with the Swedish national team lifting the Portuguese top-flight title (Primeira Liga) and the Taça de Portugal.
Gyokeres finished the season with 63 goals in 58 games and also placed 15th in the overall Ballon d’Or ranking. Gyökeres remarked on the honour: “Thanks to everyone at Sporting last season for making this possible for me,”
