Nigerian Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chimaka Nnadozie has been ranked the fourth best female goalkeeper in the world at the 2025 Balon D’or.
The Super Falcons and Brighton goalkeeper finished behind Chelsea goalkeeper Hamnna Hampton, Germany’s Ann – Katrina Berger and Barcelona’s Catarina Coll. She is the first African goalkeeper ever shortlisted for the Women’s Yashin Trophy (for the best woman goalkeeper of the year).
Nnadozie was instrumental in Nigeria’s unbeaten run to their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, including a final in which they came from behind to beat hosts Morocco 3-2. At the tournament, she kept four clean sheets in six matches and was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
