The Role: Venture Fellow (3-Month Fellowship)
Askya Investment Partners is seeking a Venture Fellow for a 3-month remote fellowship, focused on Research and Project Management.
This role sits at the core of the firm’s intellectual and execution engine. You will work closely with Askya’s leadership team to conduct deep market research, map African tech ecosystems, and support high-impact strategic initiatives.
The fellowship offers direct exposure to venture investing, ecosystem building, and Africa’s fast-evolving tech landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Sector Research

Conduct deep-dive thematic research across priority sectors such as AI, fintech, logistics, and digital infrastructure

Analyse African markets to identify trends, white spaces, competitive dynamics, and regulatory shifts
Project Management & Execution

Support the execution of key firm initiatives, including ecosystem development, founder support programmes, and media projects

Manage timelines, deliverables, and coordination across multiple workstreams
Insight & Content Development

Produce high-quality research reports, investment briefings, memos, and presentations

Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for partners and stakeholders
Strategic Ecosystem Mapping

Identify, profile, and track key ecosystem stakeholders, including founders, investors, policymakers, regulators, and partners

Support relationship-building and strategic outreach initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

Fluent, professional-level English (written and spoken)

French language skills are a strong advantage
Backgrounds in venture capital, consulting, economics, policy, startups, journalism, or strategy are particularly welcome.
