Aradel holdings is hiring a Civil Engineer in Rivers State who would report to the GM Engineering & Projects in Rivers State.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Provide and coordinate discipline reviews and inputs for civil engineering scopes during the design phase of a project.
Supervise and manage contractors during the execution of projects and ensure all civil work scope are delivered in accordance with the approved designs, standards, and regulatory provisions.
Supervise and manage contractors to ensure civil engineering deliverables are achieved safely in upholding corporate HSE goals and objectives.
Perform preliminary and basic civil engineering designs for facility improvements and as may be required of function.
Provide Bill of Engineering Measurements and Evaluation (BEME) and Bill Of Quantities (BOQ) as may be required for project execution or other needs.
Support and interphase with internal support teams during the contracting phase for a project or related activities.
Development and review of work method statements, JHA, schedule and other relevant documents for the execution of project within the civil engineering discipline.
Contribute to department annual work program presentation and budget preparations.
Report (timely) activities and project under areas of responsibility, to highlight on progress, constraints, and recommendations.
Coordinate Discipline supports to fulfil regulatory requirements in respect of Oil and Gas assets.
Analyse survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs and other topographical or geological reports for enhancement of project planning.
Provide technical advice in survey layout and planning for establishment of reference points, grades, and elevations to ensure quality project constructions and facility installations.
Participate actively in Departmental meetings, including in the review of minutes of such meeting.
Any other work related to the business as assigned by the GM of Engineering & Projects or other Senior Management.

Leadership
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure designs and specifications for civil engineering discipline conforms to Engineering Standards and Regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, industry codes, health, and safety standards are met during construction.
Ensure that projects and tasks assigned to the function are completed safely, with no variation, on schedule and without unapproved deviation from project specifications and intentions.
Compilation and submission of daily progress reports of active projects and other activities within function.
Computation and reporting of progress measurements weekly, showing planned versus actual; S-curves etc. for major projects and activities assigned to function.
Supervising staff deployed to work within the function.
Ensure that all equipment and piping have adequate structural supports to prevent damage or failure resulting from static or dynamic loading. Liaison with internal supporting departments such as CASHES and HSE to secure support for timely commencement and execution of assigned projects.

Project delivery within budget and timeline, ensuring project specifications and quality are met.
Reporting and proper documentation of milestone attained during project execution.
Ensuring relevant stakeholders (internal and external) are effectively managed during project activities.
Minimum Requirements
B.Sc. or equivalent in Civil Engineering and with a minimum of 13 years working experience in Oil & Gas civil infrastructure design, construction, and Project Management.
Experience & Skills:
Knowledge of applied engineering principles and practices.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Knowledge of Oil and Gas HSE policies and practices.
Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry construction standards and codes.
Registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Excellent reporting and communication skills.
Ability to use AUTOCAD and other civil/structural software tools.
Experience in the design of buildings, roads, pavement, and drainage facilities.
Experience in developing in-house designs in the form of spreadsheets and preparing analysis guide documents.
Experience in Drilling Location design and constructions.
Knowledge of civil engineering designs, standards, and code of practices.
Experience in development of civil engineering deliverables.
Ability to read and understand civil drawings.
Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings.
Ability to read and understand structural drawings.
Knowledge of oil & gas industry construction standards and codes such as British codes and standards (BS) etc.
