Applications are now open for the Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (WE4A) programme 2025.

About the programme

The Tony Elumelu Foundation in partnership with the European Union, OACPS, and GIZ, is giving the opportunity to access $5,000 in seed capital, world-class training, mentorship, and exclusive networking opportunities through the Investing in Young Businesses in Africa-IYBA–WE4A Programme.

The WE4A Programme supports women-led businesses shaping Africa’s green economy — from renewable energy and sustainable agriculture to waste management and climate-smart innovation.

• Cameroon

• Kenya

• Malawi

• Mozambique

• Senegal

• Tanzania

• Togo

• Uganda

Benefits

• $5,000 non-refundable seed capital

• Entrepreneurship training

• Mentorship from successful business leaders

• Access to TEF’s global network of entrepreneurs

Who can apply

• Female entrepreneurs aged 18+

• Leading or co-leading a registered business (0–5 years old)

• Based in one of the eligible countries
