Job Description
The Workshop Technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating nitrogen generation systems used in workshop operations.
The role involves ensuring equipment efficiency, safety compliance, and consistent nitrogen output for maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Set up, operate, and monitor nitrogen generation equipment.
- Manage mobile pumping units used within workshop processes.
Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on compressors, pumps, filters, and piping systems.
Process Control
- Ensure nitrogen output meets required purity, pressure, and flow rate standards.
Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues affecting generator systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow strict safety procedures when handling high-pressure gas systems.
- Ensure full compliance with aviation engineering standards.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, gas usage records, and equipment performance data.
General Duties
- Assist with other workshop activities as assigned by the Workshop Supervisor or Workshop Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field is an added advantage.
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with gas compressors and nitrogen generators.
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial maintenance or gas generation systems is preferred.
Skills
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pressure testing devices, and diagnostic equipment.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- High attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
