The African Energy Council (AEC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nigeria’s Rural Electrification Agency (REA) to work together on expanding access to clean and reliable energy in underserved and unserved communities across the country.
This agreement sets the foundation for a collaboration aimed at delivering practical energy solutions to areas that need them most. By combining AEC’s global reach and technical expertise with REA’s local knowledge and commitment, the partnership will support projects that improve lives through renewable energy and emerging technologies like hydrogen.
The collaboration includes training programs, research, policy support, and community engagement. AEC will help attract international funding and innovation, while REA will ensure these efforts are grounded in local needs and realities. Together, they plan to drive real change in energy access.
