Access Holdings AGM 2025

Access Holdings Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi as an Independent Non-Executive Director, a move that strengthens the company’s commitment to inclusive leadership and board expertise. Her appointment, which has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, became effective April 15, 2025.

Mrs. Adeyemi, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in finance, education, and corporate governance, currently serves as Managing Director of Chrisland Schools Limited. Her extensive career includes executive roles at Chemo-Pharma Laboratories and early professional experience at KPMG (then Peat Marwick Ani & Ogunde). She also serves on the boards of Chrisland University, Holy Trinity Hospital, and the Victor and Winifred Awosika Foundation.

The Group Chairman of Access Holdings, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, CFR, welcomed her to the board, emphasizing her alignment with the company’s long-term goals and its focus on sustainable value creation and social impact. “With her addition, we are proud to have four accomplished women among our nine-member Board,” he noted.

In a parallel development, Mr. Oluseyi Kumapayi, FCA, has resigned as Non-Executive Director, effective March 11, 2025. His departure ensures compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s 2023 Corporate Governance Guidelines for Financial Holding Companies, which limit boards to a maximum of nine directors. Mr. Kumapayi continues in his role as Executive Director for African Subsidiaries at Access Bank Plc, the flagship subsidiary of Access Holdings.

The leadership reshuffle reflects Access Holdings’ strategic adherence to regulatory best practices while enhancing the board’s depth and gender diversity.
