Access Bank has achieved the ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certification, meeting the benchmark in Privacy Information Management Systems (PIMS).

Access Bank announced this in a statement on Monday.

This international standard ensures its Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) adheres to global best practices in data privacy and protection.

The certification covers the full lifecycle of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including collection, storage, processing, sharing, and disposal.

It applies to physical and digital assets, processes, and information systems across the organization, reflecting a holistic approach to PII control and processing.

Dual Role as PII Controller and Processor

Access Bank has been certified as both a PII Controller and Processor under ISMS Certificate No. IS 583140.

This dual designation underscores the bank’s comprehensive control over data handling responsibilities and compliance.
