Incofin is hiring a Senior Investment Manager, Debt Financial at Institutions Africa.
This permanent role is located in Belgium (Antwerp) or Kenya (Nairobi), and reports to Director Debt Financial Institutions, based in Belgium (Antwerp).

Lead the Africa Debt Financial Institutions portfolio across Anglophone and Francophone Africa, driving its strategic development, growth and overall performance.
Originate, structure and execute debt investments in line with Incofin’s investment, risk and impact objectives.
Conduct comprehensive financial, commercial, operational and impact due diligence on prospective investments.
Prepare and present investment recommendations to Investment Committees and other governance bodies.
Build and maintain relationships with investees, fund partners, co-investors, regulators, board members and other key stakeholders.
Oversee portfolio performance and risk exposures, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of emerging issues.
Contribute to business development, pipeline generation and market expansion initiatives across Africa.
Monitor economic, financial, regulatory and political developments and assess their implications for investment opportunities and portfolio risk.
Requirements
We are seeking a senior investment professional with an advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field and at least ten (10) years of relevant experience. Candidates must have a proven track record in originating, executing and managing debt investments across African markets, including substantial experience in Francophone Africa.
The successful candidate will be capable of independently leading the Africa Debt Financial Institutions portfolio across both Anglophone and Francophone Africa. This includes responsibility for the full investment cycle, from origination and execution to portfolio management and governance.
Experience in impact investing, development finance, sustainable finance and ESG integration is highly desirable. The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical skills with sound commercial judgement, negotiation capabilities and the ability to execute complex transactions in challenging environments.
Full professional proficiency in English and French is required. The role also demands excellent stakeholder management skills, a high degree of autonomy, resilience and flexibility, and the ability to work effectively across multiple jurisdictions and cultures. International travel is expected to represent approximately 30% of working time.
