Reform UK Anti-Working People, in Bed With Putin – Rachel Reeves

Rachel Reeves Slams Reform UK

British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves has called the Reform Party and Nigel Farage anti-working people. She painted it as a divisive force.

She stated this at the 2025 Labour Party conference in Liverpool. She argued that Reform UK’s policies would undermine social cohesion and economic fairness. In addition, she singled out Reform’s immigration proposals. She supported Keir Starmer’s denunciation of their plan to strip settled status rights, describing those proposals as & “racist.” She distinguished them from the lawful deportation of illegal immigrants.

Reeves argued that Labour stands for stability and responsible governance. This was in contrast to what she characterised as Reform’s dangerous populism and economic chaos.

“Here are the questions that we must never tire of repeating between now and the next election. Who is standing up for Britain’s working people? A Labour government introducing the biggest upgrade of workers’ rights in decades? Or a Reform Party, which has opposed those rights every single step of the way?.

“Who is standing up for Britain’s interests? A Labour government that stands with our allies? Or a Reform Party in bed with Vladimir Putin?” She said.

Despite being interrupted by a pro-Palestinian protester during her address, Reeves held firm on her criticisms. She continued to draw a clear dividing line between Labour and Reform.
