Located in a private and calm bay with a stunning mile long, white sand beach The Datai is one of the most luxurious resorts in Asia and provides an idyllic natural retreat tucked away on the north western tip of the Island.

Accommodation comprises of 121 rooms, suites and villas, most with their own private verandas, affording stunning views of the lush rainforest and the Andaman Sea. The Canopy Collection are located in the main buildings and overlook the rainforest, The Rainforest Collection nestle in the jungle near the stream and The Beach Collection are adjacent to the beach and feature private pools and dedicated butlers. The exclusive 5 bedroom Datai Estate offers the highest level of accommodation and can be split into 2 & 3 bedroom suites.

Dining choices include The Gulai House tucked deep in the rainforest, serving authentic Malaysian cuisine. The Pavilion, a Thai restaurant, ‘floats’ 30 metres above the rainforest canopy and the Dining Room offers a fine dining experience in a unique indoor/outdoor setting. The more casual Beach Club and Bar offers the perfect sunset location for cocktails and delicious seafood.

Extensive recreation and relaxation activities are available including 5 spa villas offering a wide range of traditional and signature treatments in a secluded location within the rainforest beside a winding stream. Watersports, beach and rainforest walks from the unique nature centre, jungle trekking, tennis, golf at the Ernie Els course and boat charters on the Naga Pelangi Schooner are all available for the more energetic.
