The job holder will be responsible for driving the commercial performance of the lubricant business by developing and executing strategic plans for sales growth, managing key customer relationships, overseeing pricing and marketing initiatives, and ensuring the profitability of the lubricant product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow lubricant sales across retail, industrial, and commercial segments.
- Identify new business opportunities, customer segments, and distribution channels to expand market presence.
- Lead the execution of marketing and branding strategies to promote the lubricant product range.
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to adjust commercial strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with the plant operations team to align production capabilities with sales forecasts and customer requirements.
- Drive pricing strategy, margin analysis, and product positioning to maximize profitability.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, partners, and vendors.
- Oversee the development of commercial contracts, including negotiations, compliance, and performance monitoring.
- Provide input to product development and packaging decisions based on market feedback and demand.
- Prepare and manage commercial budgets, sales forecasts, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of commercial activities.
- Track, analyze, and report commercial KPIs, ensuring targets are met and exceeded
- Support talent development and performance management within the commercial team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of commercial experience in the lubricant or downstream oil and gas sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
