Enugu State Government Signs MoU With UNDP to Ensure Transparent Procurement Processes

The Enugu state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to ensure transparent procurement processes in the state. This was announced in a statement by the Enugu state government on Wednesday.

“On Tuesday, we signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nigeria, anchoring Enugu State into the Integrated Smart States Programme for Accelerated Development (2025–2027).

“This marks an important milestone in our relationship with UNDP and in our journey to deliver on the blueprint we presented to the people of Enugu State during the campaign.

“From the outset, we made a total commitment to eradicating poverty in the state and to achieving a zero-poverty headcount index.

“We recognise that this ambition can only be realised through collaboration and partnership, which is why this engagement is of immense importance to us.

“Transparency and accountability remain central to our governance philosophy, including fund traceability and strict value-for-money principles. This MoU is about ensuring transparent procurement processes and extracting optimal value from every kobo or dollar we spend.

“This partnership will support us in accomplishing our vision and fulfilling our promises to Ndi Enugu as we accelerate inclusive growth and development.” The statement read.
