Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has secured a 72-megawatt (MW) power supply agreement, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to improve electricity reliability and service delivery across its franchise area.

The agreement was reached with Mainstream Energy Solution Limited, executed through Midbelt Energy Company Limited, according to a corporate announcement released by EKEDC.

EKEDC said the deal would enhance power availability across its network and reinforce its commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and stable electricity to customers.

“EKEDC records another milestone by securing a major 72MW power supply agreement,” the company said, noting that the development aligns with its strategic vision and market leadership objectives.
