AFCON 2025: Morrocco – Senegal Final Gets Controversial End to Regulation Time

The AFCON 2025 final between Morrocco and Senegal ended regulation time in controversial fashion as the stadium erupted into chaos after a penalty was awarded to Morrocco in the final minutes of the game.

Senegal themselves had a goal ruled out for a foul in the final minutes of regulation time which drew the ire of the Senegalese team.

The plot thickened after morrocco were awarded a penalty for a foul on Brahin Diaz in the 90th minute with the Senegalese team leaving the pitch in protest.

The game would however resume after a 10 minute delay with Brahin Diaz eventually missing the penalty meaning the game went to extra time.
