GF 9JA Cuisine, a new Nigerian restaurant run by Favour Ayodeji and her parents, Anthony and Risikatu, has been met with a positive response from the Northampton community. The restaurant recently held a successful opening event, attracting a large crowd eager to try their authentic Nigerian cuisine.

The Ayodeji family has over a decade of experience in the food industry, having catered for weddings, birthdays, and other events. They believe their experience and the growing recognition of their brand made this the perfect time to open a restaurant.

“There’s a spot for it in Northampton,” Favour told the Chronicle & Echo. “For as long as I can remember, my parents have been baking Nigerian snacks. We have taken gradual steps from a bakery and making meals, to cooking large orders for parties. We’re here to stay.”

Located conveniently in Harborough Road, Kingsthorpe, with a bus stop right outside, GF 9JA Cuisine offers a taste of Nigeria using traditional ingredients and recipes.

Their menu features dishes such as rice, meat, and swallow favourites, alongside Nigerian snacks such as mince pies and sausage rolls.

The opening event was a resounding success, with Favour describing it as “busy to the point it was hard to sit down.” Customers from both near and far came to experience the food and service, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

Favour acknowledges the challenge of catering to individual preferences but assures customers that they are committed to providing a delightful dining experience for everyone.

Whether you’re looking to enjoy a meal outdoors on their patio for 15 or dine inside with seating for 24, GF 9JA Cuisine invites the community to come try their new dishes.

Favour encourages everyone to embrace the opportunity to explore new flavours: “Life is too short to not try foods from across the globe.”

With a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food, GF 9JA Cuisine seems poised to become a new favourite in Northampton.
