In an effort to help professionals and employers thrive amid the rapidly changing workforce landscape, LinkedIn has introduced a series of AI-powered enhancements.

These new AI features, according to LinkedIn on Thursday, are designed to increase productivity and success for users, offering innovative tools for job seekers, learners, recruiters, and businesses.

AI-Powered Job Search Enhancements

New AI-Powered Job Experience for Premium Subscribers: LinkedIn is rolling out its AI-powered job experience to all Premium subscribers worldwide, starting with English-speaking users.

This experience includes several key features to streamline the job search process:

  • Jobseeker Coach: Users can now explore career opportunities effortlessly by asking in plain language. For example, a user might say, “Find me a remote marketing job in Detroit that pays at least $110,000,” and receive tailored job listings.
  • Application and Resume Review: Job seekers will receive immediate feedback and personalised suggestions on their applications and resumes, helping them stand out to potential employers.
  • Cover Letter Assistance: The platform offers personalised cover letter recommendations, simplifying the job application process.

Personalised Learning and Expert Advice

Personalised Learning for Evolving Skills: As the workplace evolves, LinkedIn highlights that the skills required will change by 68 per cent by 2030.

To help users keep pace, LinkedIn is introducing AI-powered personalised learning experiences:

  • Expert Advice on LinkedIn Learning: LinkedIn is piloting a feature that provides personalised, practical advice from industry-leading business leaders and coaches. These AI-generated responses are tailored to each learner’s unique needs.
  • AI-Powered Coaching During Courses: Learners, including all Premium subscribers, can now ask for summaries, clarifications, and real-time insights while watching LinkedIn Learning courses. Users can query concepts or seek specific applications, enhancing their learning experience.

Enhancements for Businesses

LinkedIn continues to enhance its offerings for businesses, focusing on AI-driven value across its products for recruiters, marketers, and sellers:

  • Recruiter 2024: The reimagined Recruiter product, piloted over the past year, will become globally available in English within the next few weeks. Feedback indicates that recruiters are finding quality candidates faster with this tool.
  • AI Capabilities for Marketers: The Accelerate campaign creation and optimisation tool has shown a 52 per cent reduction in cost per action. New features for B2B marketers include the use of Microsoft Designer for creatives, improved targeting through customer lead lists, and campaign advice from an AI marketing assistant.
  • Premium Company Pages for Small Businesses: This feature helps small businesses grow by increasing awareness and followers, distinguishing themselves from competitors, and driving conversions with AI-guided messaging and custom calls-to-action.

LinkedIn’s latest AI-powered tools mark a significant step towards enhancing user experiences and outcomes in the professional world, catering to the dynamic needs of both job seekers and businesses.
