WAEC releases 2024 WASSCE results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates. In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), WAEC confirmed the release, stating, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024.”

How to Check Your WAEC Results via SMS
Candidates can conveniently access their results using their mobile devices through SMS by following these steps:

  1. Type the following message on your mobile phone: WAECExamNoPIN*ExamYear.
  2. Send the message to 32327.
  3. You will receive an instant SMS containing your WAEC statement of results.

Please note that this SMS method is available only to MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers. If you do not receive your results via SMS, you may need to repeat the process. Standard SMS charges apply.

How to Check Your WAEC Results Online

For those who prefer to check their results online, WAEC provides a straightforward process:

  1. Visit the WAEC Result Checker Website at www.waecdirect.org.
  2. Log in with your Examination Number.
  3. Select the Examination Type (e.g., May/June).
  4. Choose the Examination Year (e.g., 2024).
  5. Click on “Check Result.”

Please note that a WAEC scratch card may be required to access your results online. Ensure you have this on hand before attempting to log in.
