Vinícius Júnior Named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season

Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior has been awarded the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for the 2023/2024 campaign, the UEFA Technical Observer panel announced on Monday.

This accolade follows an exceptional season for Real Madrid, culminating in their 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium in London. In Saturday’s decisive match, goals from Vinícius Júnior and defender Dani Carvajal secured Madrid’s triumph.

Vinícius Júnior’s performance throughout the tournament was nothing short of spectacular. He contributed six goals, including the clincher in the final against Dortmund, cementing his status as a key player in Madrid’s UCL campaign. His remarkable displays showcased his exceptional talent and unwavering commitment to the team.

Reflecting on the victory, Vinícius Júnior expressed his joy, stating, “I’m very happy to be able to win another Champions League with this club, which has given me so much.”
