US H-1B Visa Fee: German Envoy Invites Indian Skilled Workers to Germany

The German Ambassador to India, Phillip Ackerman, in a message shared on his X page, encouraged “highly skilled Indians” to consider Germany for Work opportunities. He highlighted opportunities especially in sectors like IT, Management, Science, and Technology.

This post was made due to the United States recent development on the U.S H-1B visa program proposed $100,000 fee.

Ackerman furthermore emphasized on the beneficial effects on Indians. He stated, “The average Indian working in German earns more than the average German working in Germany. Because a high salary means Indians are contributing big time to our society and our welfare. We believe in hardwork and giving the best Jobs to the people” he said.

In the video shared on X, the German envoy, compared his country’s migration policies with German cares- that are known to be some of the most reliable vehicles in the world. He described Germany’s migration rules as reliable, modern, and predictable. “It will go in a straight line with no zigzags. And you don’t have to fear a full break at the top speed,” Ackermann said. He added that Germany does not change its rules fundamentally overnight.

 U.S. H‑1B Visa Fee Hike

The Trump administration has introduced a $100,000 one-time fee for new H‑1B visa petitions, starting September 21, 2025.

This does not affect existing H‑1B holders or renewals.

The move is part of a broader push to prioritize American workers and curb misuse of the H‑1B program.

Tech companies and Indian IT firms have strongly criticized the change, warning it could raise costs and reduce access to skilled talent.

Countries like Germany are now encouraging Indian professionals to consider alternatives, citing more stable and affordable immigration policies.
