Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has reportedly resigned from his position per multiple sources.

While there has been no official confirmation from either the All Progressive Congress nor Ganduje, sources close to the APC have indicated Ganduje’s decision is due to growing pressure from the Northern faction of the party as well as his decision to take out time to focus more on his health.

This resignation is set to have a bearing on the ruling party’s choice as running mate to President Bola Tinubu as well as the internal politics of the North West caucus of the party.
