TSL logistics Limited is seeking a highly strategic and commercially astute Head of Ventures to lead business growth and market expansion for TSL’s Energy Infrastructure & Logistics Solutions. The position is responsible for driving strategic sales, deepening client partnerships, unlocking new revenue opportunities, and positioning TSL as a market leader in integrated energy logistics across Nigeria and West Africa. The role combines commercial strategy, client relationship management, and cross-functional leadership to deliver sustainable growth and long-term business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive sales and business growth strategy aligned with TSL’s logistics and energy infrastructure priorities.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities with IOCs, NOCs, and key stakeholders in the energy value chain.
- Develop robust commercial and pricing models that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Drive revenue generation through new client acquisition and strategic expansion of existing accounts.
- Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and retention.
- Lead high-value contract negotiations, ensuring optimal commercial terms and client outcomes.
- Reactivate dormant or underutilized client accounts to unlock latent revenue opportunities.
- Develop and execute structured market-entry strategies for new service lines or geographies.
- Partner with internal technical, operations, and finance teams to co-develop solutions that address client-specific needs.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor movements to inform business strategy.
- Represent TSL at industry events, forums, and exhibitions to strengthen market visibility and positioning.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales and ventures team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with shared services (Finance, Compliance, HR) to ensure seamless execution and operational efficiency.
- Champion innovation and digital adoption within the Ventures function to enhance client value delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree (MBA/MSc) in Business, Strategy, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 15+ years of total work experience, including 10 years in business development, sales, or strategy within the Energy Infrastructure and Logistics sector.
- Proven track record of securing and managing large-scale commercial contracts and strategic partnerships.
- Strong professional network within the Oil & Gas and Energy industries across West Africa.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive commercial transformation.
- Experience with technology-enabled or digital logistics solutions is highly desirable.
- Fluency in French is an added advantage.
Professional Certifications (preferred):
- Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2),
- Business/Financial Analysis (CIMA, CFA, ECBA),
- Strategy or Leadership programs (INSEAD, Lagos Business School, etc.).
