Nigerian singer and songwriter Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has announced his engagement to his partner, Janet Atom.
The “Who Is Your Guy?” crooner revealed the news on Instagram on Friday, sharing photos of the proposal and his fiancée’s sparkling engagement ring.
Spyro disclosed that he first met Janet on March 30, 2024, at 2:48 a.m. while working at a club in Lagos.
Describing the encounter, he wrote, “The 30th of March 2024, my world paused as I found love in an unexpected place… at exactly 2:48 am I met the answer to my prayers in a Lagos Club while at work.”
In his heartfelt post, Spyro expressed gratitude that Janet said yes, calling her “my sweet J.”
He added, “Thank you for saying YES… I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” underscoring how much joy the relationship has brought him.
The engagement post quickly drew attention, with fans celebrating the singer’s personal milestone.
Spyro has often shared insights about his personal life, recently revealing that he embraced celibacy because he “feels troubled” whenever he fornicates, a decision that sparked conversations among followers.
Born Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, Spyro rose to fame after his hit single Who Is Your Guy? was released in November 2022.
