Job Description:

The World Bank Group is seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee environmental assessments and studies related to World Bank projects.
• Provide expert guidance on environmental policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and implementation.
• Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities, to promote environmental awareness and compliance.
• Monitor and evaluate the environmental impact of projects, ensuring adherence to the World Bank’s environmental and social standards.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in environmental assessment and management.
• Proven expertise in environmental policies, regulations, and international best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural environments.
