EOCO and FBI Seize Shatta Wale’s $4.7M Lamborghini in Transnational Fraud Probe

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has countered claims by Ghanaian star Shatta Wale about an armed raid. EOCO confirmed its Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit (SARU), alongside the FBI, executed a lawful operation at his Trassaco Valley home.

They seized a 2019 Lamborghini Urus linked to a $4.7 million US fraud case involving Nana Kwabena Amuah, now serving 86 months.

Officers maintained professionalism, with no incidents reported during the search. SARU’s armed presence followed standard safety protocols, EOCO stressed. Shatta Wale, or Charles Nii Armah, begged to keep the seizure discreet to shield his brand image.

He handed over the car voluntarily, now secured by EOCO. The FBI and US Justice Department plan a Mutual Legal Assistance request to reclaim it. Nii Armah and a former National Signals Bureau officer are persons of interest. EOCO will probe further and share results with US authorities.

Shatta Wale vented frustration on Facebook and Tiktok live, slamming EOCO’s tactics, constantly calling the name Raymond Acher repeatedly. He also recited the bible verse –“He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty”. He ended the Live by showing information that he got from his lawyer friends that proved that the car was not stolen.

The case highlights ongoing efforts to tackle transnational crime.
