Job Description
As an Accounting Assistant, you will work closely with a senior accountant to support day-to-day financial operations. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining accurate financial records, handling basic bookkeeping tasks, and assisting in preparing reports to ensure our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain digital filing systems for financial documentation.
- Assist the senior accountant with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks.
- Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Candidates should possess minimum of an OND / HND / B.Sc Degrees in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience: 1 – 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (internships count!).
Skills
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
