Godswill Akpabio, the Senate president, has revealed the president promised to release the 2025 budget on Tuesday, the 17th of December.
The Senate President stated this during a plenary at the Senate today. The proposed amount would amount to about N47.9tn.
The announcement aligns with the ongoing review of the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) for 2025–2027 by the Senate Finance Committee.
The budget highlights key priorities, including capital projects, economic diversification, and social welfare initiatives.
The budget makes substantial investments in vital sectors like infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security, according to the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).
