Police Condemns Conduct of Officers Captured Receiving Cash From Chinese National

The Nigeria Police Force has condemned the activities of some of its officers who were caught receiving cash tokens from a Chinese national in a now viral video.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Force PRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, mnipr, mipra, fCAI.

The statement reads “The Nigerian Police Force has raken cognizance of a disturbing video making rounds in the media space, showing police officers receiving money from a Chinese national. The Force has strongly condemned the conduct exhibited by the police officers in the video, describing it as unprofessional and unethical.

“The actions of the officers do not represent the established ethics, standards, and core values of the Nigeria Police Force. The Force has zero tolerance for such unprofessional behaviour and other forms of misconduct, which undermine public trust and confidence”.

The police further confirmed that the officers captured in the video which caused an uproar online would be subjected to disciplinary action and warned that individuals misusing the privilege of having police escorts would also be punished.
