Popular TikTok content creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has been hospitalised following a car accident that occurred during a highly emotional livestream on Sunday in Lagos.
The incident happened along the Lekki–Epe Expressway while Peller was live on social media.
In the video, which has since circulated widely online, he appeared visibly distressed, crying and speaking about personal relationship issues reportedly involving his girlfriend and fellow creator, Jarvis.
During the livestream, Peller made several alarming statements expressing fear, emotional pain, and concerns about public ridicule.
Moments later, footage showed his vehicle veering off the road and crashing into a barrier, causing serious damage to his newly acquired Mercedes-Benz.
Eyewitnesses at the scene quickly intervened and helped remove him from the car before he was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
As of the time of reporting, the exact nature and severity of his injuries have not been officially confirmed.
Peller and Jarvis have had a history of public disputes and reconciliations, with recent online leaks suggesting another possible breakup.
This has led many to believe the latest disagreement may have contributed to the emotional distress that preceded the crash.
Public reaction has been divided. While many social media users have expressed concern for Peller’s mental health and safety, others have questioned whether the incident was exaggerated, citing his past viral stunts.
Nonetheless, there have been growing calls for authorities, including road safety officials, to investigate the circumstances due to potential danger to other road users.
Neither Peller, Jarvis, nor relevant authorities have released an official statement as investigations and medical evaluations continue.
