Paystack Suspends Co-founder Ezra Olubi Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct

Paystack has suspended its co-founder and chief technology officer, Ezra Olubi, for alleged sexual misconduct.

The company confirmed the suspension to TechCabal, saying it has opened a formal investigation into the allegations.

This comes after a series of distasteful tweets made by Ezra Olubi began making the rounds on Wednesday. Some of the tweets which dates back to 2013 include sexually explicit posts about colleagues and minors, bestiality amongst others.

“Paystack is aware of the allegations involving our Co-founder, Ezra Olubi,” the company told TechCabal in a statement.

“We take matters of this nature extremely seriously. Effective immediately, Ezra has been suspended from all duties and responsibilities pending the outcome of a formal investigation.”

“Out of respect for the individuals involved and to protect the integrity of the process, we will not be commenting further until the investigation is complete,” Paystack said.
