Job Title: Planning Engineer – Oil & Gas Sector

 Location: Qatar

Job Description

As a Planning Engineer, you will be an integral part of the project management team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules and reporting progress. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure timelines and project goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Liaise closely with project and site teams to gather accurate data for planning and reporting purposes.
  • Conduct delay analysis and recommend realistic recovery plans to keep projects on track.
  • Support the preparation and submission of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and other planning-related documentation.
  • Assist in resource planning and contribute to cost control and budgeting efforts.
  • Ensure alignment with overall project timelines, deliverables, and contract requirements.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project planning roles within the oil & gas industry.
  • High proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows, project controls, and execution strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and under tight deadlines.
