Oando Appoints Ayotola Jagun as Executive Director, Underscoring Focus on Governance and Sustainability

Oando Plc has announced the appointment of Ms. Ayotola Jagun as an Executive Director, effective May 20, 2025. The decision, made in accordance with Article 88 of the Company’s Articles of Association, reinforces Oando’s focus on ethical leadership, sustainability, and corporate transparency.

Ms. Jagun brings over 30 years of extensive experience across professional services, financial services, and the energy sector. She has spent the past 14 years as the company’s Chief Compliance Officer and Company Secretary, where she was pivotal in aligning Oando’s corporate governance and compliance practices with international standards.

A dual-qualified lawyer in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, Jagun is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. She is also a Fellow of the Corporate Governance Institute, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Directors (Nigeria), and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

According to Oando Group Chief Executive Jubril Adewale Tinubu, her appointment is aligned with the company’s long-term strategic priorities, including strengthening institutional frameworks and enhancing risk oversight. “Ayotola’s wealth of experience will be instrumental in ensuring our corporate services continue to support sustainable growth and deliver stakeholder value,” he said.

This appointment underlines Oando’s dedication to inclusive leadership and long-term value creation in Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape.
