NYSC: Batch C Stream II PCMs Left Stranded as Portal Downtime Derail Registration Process

Prospective corps members intending to register for the NYSC Batch C stream II have been left stranded due to downtime on the NYSC portal which has ensured the majority of PCMs are unable to commence registration.

The NYSC had earlier announced that Batch C stream II registration would run from Monday 6th January to Friday, 10th January 2025 with the short registration window leading to a scramble among PCMs.

However, the majority of PCMs have been unable to register for the scheme due to the instability of the website meant the site kept crashing with many PCMs being faced with an error code of ‘Service unavailable’.

PCMs Reaction

Reacting to the difficulties encountered, PCMs took to X formerly known as Twitter to express their displeasure.

@wUra_xoxo said “everything about this country is just stress, because why has nysc portal been unavailable since registration started”
It’s 2025, and the NYSC portal still crashes every time people try to register . When will this end?” @ada_nayache opined.
@pearlnado noted “Finally found a centre and nysc portal decided to crash. Sleep-deprived and hungry just to serve a country that doesn’t even rate me enough to fix their damn portal chai”
As at the time of this report, the site seems to have started working again albeit slowly.
