As artificial intelligence reshapes industries worldwide, NVIDIA is spearheading a transformative initiative to produce up to $500 billion in AI infrastructure within the United States over the next four years.

NVIDIA is collaborating with a coalition of industry giants, TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL to design and construct cutting-edge manufacturing facilities across Arizona and Texas. Spanning over a million square feet, these factories will produce NVIDIA’s Blackwell chips and AI supercomputers entirely on American soil, a first for the company. This move addresses the soaring demand for AI infrastructure while reducing reliance on overseas semiconductor manufacturing.

In Phoenix, Arizona, TSMC’s advanced chip plants have already begun producing NVIDIA’s Blackwell chips, the critical components powering the company’s AI supercomputers. These systems are engineered to handle complex AI workloads, from machine learning to data analytics, fueling the next wave of technological innovation.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA is building supercomputer manufacturing hubs in Texas. Foxconn is establishing a facility in Houston, and Wistron is setting up operations in Dallas. Both plants are on track to reach mass production within 12 to 15 months, significantly enhancing the U.S.’s capacity for domestic AI production.

The AI supply chain is intricate, requiring top-tier manufacturing, packaging, and testing expertise. To meet these demands, NVIDIA has tapped Amkor and Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) for advanced packaging and testing operations in Arizona. This end-to-end ecosystem strengthens supply chain resilience and ensures seamless production of AI chips and supercomputers.

The scale of this endeavor is monumental. NVIDIA’s investment of up to half a trillion dollars over four years is poised to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and generate trillions in economic security over the coming decades. This initiative positions the U.S. as a leader in the global AI industry, driving economic growth through advanced manufacturing.

Innovation is a cornerstone of NVIDIA’s strategy. The company is deploying its own AI, robotics, and digital twin technologies to optimize these facilities. Using NVIDIA Omniverse, engineers will create digital twins of the factories for real-time simulation and refinement. NVIDIA Isaac GR00T will power robots to automate production, boosting efficiency and precision in semiconductor manufacturing.

“Tens of ‘gigawatt AI factories’ are on the horizon,” said Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s founder and CEO. “The engines of the world’s AI infrastructure are being built in the United States for the first time. Adding American manufacturing helps us meet the incredible demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain, and boosts our resiliency.”

These AI supercomputers are the backbone of a new breed of data centers, AI factories designed exclusively to process artificial intelligence workloads. As demand for AI infrastructure surges, NVIDIA’s partnerships with TSMC and others are hardening the global supply chain while expanding their footprint in the U.S.

This $500 billion initiative is more than an economic milestone; it’s a strategic leap forward for national security and technological supremacy. By localizing AI chip and supercomputer production, NVIDIA is cementing the United States’ role as a powerhouse in the AI-driven future.
