In order to increase the number of Nigerians employed in this vital area of the country’s economy, Prembly, a leading global provider of compliance and security technology with headquarters in Lagos, yesterday announced its partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria to establish a “Entertainment and Creative Industries Registry.” The Vice President of Nigeria, Honorable Kashim Shettima, hosted an event where the Registry was unveiled.

Nigeria’s creative economy is a sector that encompasses various industries such as arts, culture, music, film, fashion, and design. With its rich cultural heritage and diverse population, Nigeria has a thriving creative sector that has taken center stage both locally and internationally. This creative economy contributes significantly to the country’s GDP and job creation, making it a vital component of Nigeria’s economic growth and development.

Prembly officialsNigeria’s multibillion dollar creative economy is now both a domestic engine of job creation and economic growth as well as a worldwide phenomenon. The “Entertainment and Creative Industries Registry” initiative aims to link Nigerians with an additional 1 million jobs in industries like animation, music, arts, and film, despite current estimates putting the sector’s employment at over 4 million. In order to fully utilize Nigeria’s creative talent, the Federal Government is committed to fostering human creativity and cultural enrichment, and this effort is essential to that effort.
