The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the Zonal General Aptitude Test under its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025 recruitment exercise.
The announcement was made on October 21, 2025, in a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters.
According to the statement, the aptitude test will hold nationwide on Saturday, October 25, 2025, across various centres designated for the exercise. Shortlisted applicants have been instructed to report to their assigned venues as indicated on the official recruitment portal.
“The list of eligible applicants shortlisted to participate in the Zonal General Aptitude Test for the NAF Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025 Enlistment Exercise has been published on the NAF Recruitment Portal.
The aptitude test is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 25 October 2025, at various centres across the country,” the statement read.

The current recruitment drive, which began on August 27 and closed on October 7, 2025, invited applications from Nigerian graduates and postgraduates across diverse fields.
Eligibility and Application Details
Candidates were required to be Nigerian citizens aged between 20 and 32 years, while medical consultants could apply up to age 40. The DSSC remains one of NAF’s most structured recruitment avenues, targeting skilled individuals to enhance its operational and technical capacities.

This latest shortlist comes just days after the Air Force opened applications for the Airmen and Airwomen Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025.
Announced on October 14, 2025, by Air Vice Marshal A.H. Bakari, the BMTC registration runs until November 25, 2025, and is entirely free of charge.
Applicants for the BMTC are required to apply online through the official portal at www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng, ensuring all instructions are followed. Eligibility includes Nigerian citizenship, medical and physical fitness, and five credits in not more than two sittings, including Mathematics and English.
